Green jobs for young rural Sahelians
Nubian Vault eco-construction training courses are suitable for profiles with little or no schooling. They are aimed primarily at young rural people looking for income-generating activities between two agricultural seasons.
The construction of the Nubian Vaults, 100% in earth including the vault-shaped roof, allows them to offer in their village a solution for more comfortable accommodation, allowing them to protect themselves from the strong heat.
The income they were able to earn from this new activity changed their lives: they were able to enlarge their field, invest in a scooter, send their children to school, pay for medicine...
A hundred of them were able to obtain a basic qualification certificate recognized by the Ministry of Vocational Training: a nice revenge for young people who did not have the chance to go to school!
