Recent political developments and the Burkinabe Governments commitment to development issues, backed by advocacy from AVN have led this season to new strategic initiatives for the adoption of the AVN programme and the implementation of new partnerships. Following recent contacts with relevant ministries and decentralised agencies, AVN has also convinced civil society organisations to invest in solving the housing issue.

InterAction Forum: AVN invited to Washington meeting on international cooperation

The SDO and their adoption by French non-state actors
23 June 2017, by Chloé AdloffAs a new member of the French Comité 21 network, AVN, along with 48 other members (corporate and territorial representatives, educators, NGO’s, researchers) has contributed to the drafting of a report on the adoption of Sustainable Development Objectives (SDO) by French non-state actors. Two years after its adoption, this report reflects the French commitment to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda established by the UN in 2015.

Visit of the French Ambassador to Ghana
15 June 2017, by Chloé AdloffThe AVN-Ghana team was delighted to welcome the visit of François Pujolas, French Ambassador to Ghana, in Bolgatanga.
The Ambassador was accompanied by representatives of the Service de Coopération et d’Action Culturelle (SCAC) of he Embassy, and by Frank Fuseini, Deputy Regional Minister of the Upper-East Region. The delegation was able to get an overview of the NV programme in northern Ghana, and to appreciate the technical features of NV buildings.

The French Ambassador visits Boromo
